Iceberg
A large chunk of ice that floats in the ocean, with only 10% of its mass above the surface of the water.
Ichthyology
The study of fish.
Implosion
An inward explosion that happens when internal pressure is less than external pressure. Opposite to an explosion, an implosion concentrates matter and energy.
Indigenous
Organisms or people who are originally from a particular place or country.
Inorganic
Refers mainly to compounds of non-biological derivation, such as minerals. However, most known inorganic compounds are synthetic, i.e. made by humans.
