FoE Belgium was formed in 1976 and is made up of about thirty local groups, distributed in the four provinces of Wallonia and the Brussels and German-speaking areas of the country.

The local groups do not act alone: there is also a national and regional network to support them. The links between the different regional areas and the coordination of their actions are facilitated by FoE Belgium.

Campaign areas include water and GMOs.
