The 'Stichting De Noordzee' (the North Sea Foundation) is a lobbying organization with a constructive approach that enables a practical influence to be exerted over the marine environmental policies of governments and user groups such as the fishing and shipping sectors.
Issues addressed include offshore windturbines, shipping, fisheries and general awareness raising. The Stichting works closely with Seas at Risk and FoEI, and occupies observer seats within the IMO and OSPAR.
